Fountain view is great, room is old and small, snacks and drinks in the room is annoying and taking places, will not come back again.
Beautiful decor, rooms a little on the small side but beautifully decorated. Very upscale and classy hotel.
Amazing hotel rooms!!! Very clean and elegant. Loved the accommodations in the room with the fridge and views. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone as well. Very nice pool too.
Fifth stay at Bellagio & it was wonderful from start to end. We encountered some superb staff this time around ... Reina at Palio & Bertha at Gelato to name just two. Added to a few good slot wins, excellent food options throughout & a delightful corner room allocated by our host this was a memorable stay
Stayed in a deluxe fountain view room. Spectacular! Room service was great. Everyone was professional. Hotel was spotless. Our flight arrived way before check-in and we were allowed to check-in early at no additional cost. I intend to stay at the Bellagio during every visit to Vegas.
Stayed in a lakeview penthouse suite. From the check in to the room, room service and housekeeping it was outstanding! Service was tremendous and quick. View was out of this world. By far the best place I have ever stayed!
A magnet for tourists of a certain nation ... if you're not careful you'll be tripping over them .., and believe me they don't care when they step out in front of you. Apart from that, still a grand old dame - spotlessly clean & faultless public areas, great housekeeping, tight slots.
This hotel is amazing and so beautiful. Truly luxurious throughout. The giant chocolate fountain was fascinating, the pools were glamorous though lacked a fun atmosphere, the conservatory was so stunning and ablaze with colour and a butterfly farm! It is magical. We stayed in a fabulous 2 bed penthouse which was amazing! It was so big I had two bathrooms to myself and one had a big jacuzzi that was sooo good to sink into. The bedroom was spacious and bed very comfortable. The views of the Bellagio fountains were awesome and had the music playing on the tv and just sitting and watching them was so special and relaxing. A luxurious space with a bar and spacious dining room and sofas and enjoyed an excellent breakfast in dining room with great views from floor to ceiling arched windows!! The sofas were oddly arranged with the backs to the stunning views and though I thought the decor was lovely, it could have been even better if brighter colours were used rather than beige and browns. A great central location on the strip but be aware that you can hear the thumping sounds from nightlife nearby for a few hours late at night which did not bother me too much but may not be so relaxing for most! Overall I loved the penthouse but my friend who is a 'high roller' regular in Vegas said he has stayed in better rooms.
Stayed in a two bedroom penthouse. Great if you like brown and beige, otherwise a bit dull and uninviting. What do you do if you have a stunning view over the lake? Put a sofa in the room with its back to the window so there is no way to sit and look out. Might as well have been a window to the car park! Needs refreshing urgently.
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. The room was very nice. We stayed in the Spa Tower on the 10th floor. We had a view of the fountains without paying extra. The hotel charges extra for a view starting on the 11th floor. I would definitely stay here again.
The Bellagio lives up to its reputation. Everything from the room to the restaurants to the casino floor was immaculate. And while other casinos along the strip were dead in the middle of the week off-season, Bellagio was still happening. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
Faultless. Newly decorated room in the green colour scheme. Extra comfy bed. Had an end suite (room 42). Long long walk from the lifts but worth it to have a jacuzzi in the window giving Cosmo guests a cheap thrill!
A little out dated. Also had a room with views if an air conditioning duct and roof. However, the staff were very friendly, the gambling staff were the best I've experienced anywhere, very friendly, very funny, made the experience one of the best in my life !!
The best. The poker room is unreal.
The new rooms are very nice. Housekeeping is average. Food options at bellagio are ok, we prefer aria.
Stayed at the Bellagio a couple of days ago and it was so not worth the price. The rooms at Aria are cheaper and much nicer with incredible room amenities like tv in mirror in the bathroom, heated toilet seats and high tech, ultra model features. The Bellagio is really showing its age, even the updated rooms feel old and small with low ceilings, and I don't think I ever had a smaller closet. I must admit the mid-strip location is great and the fountain view was beautiful, but BEWARE, we stayed on the 11th floor overlooking the fountains which allowed us to hear loud, head-throbbing club music ALL night long. It was horrible. The hotel really should stop the music or warn its guests that if they like to sleep at 3:00AM, they may want to give up the view or stay on a higher floor. It was certainly not fun being kept awake all night when u have to be up early in the morning. Also get ready to wait in a line wherever you go in this hotel like at the buffet, the cafe, the box office, to take a taxi, and I don't mean a short line, I mean lines that takes 1/2 an hour or more to get through, and keep in mind we were in Vegas during its off-peak season, I can only assume that wait times could easily triple during peak season. Everything in this hotel is overpriced...a small bowl of berries was $10.00, and slots paid out the least of all the hotels we went to. To be completely accurate, the Bellagio slots didn't pay out anything, I put $40 in a 25 cent machine and didn't win anything on any spins, nothing. I don't think that ever happened at any other casino ever. Will I be back, NO!!! I prefer up-to-date rooms that are spacious with modern amenities, comfortable beds and a QUIET place to sleep, so I'll be going back to the Aria.
Pretentious, overpriced ripoff. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the property itself is very nice. There are long lines for everything and the staff is very rude. There are lots of other places to stay in Las Vegas that cost much less money and the staff don't look down their noses at you if don't look like your average millionaire. I've stayed here twice and for all the glitz and glamour this place is nothing special.
Not what we expected, long lines for EVERYTHING, bad temperature control at rooms, check in took us almost three hours. There are other options for the same price or lower.
Wow!! We're still here now! Got a room overlooking the lake and it's spectacular!! On our honeymoon and it couldn't have been better. Eaten at Prime- beautiful- but too much food!!! Went to see "O" cirque du Soleil- best show in Vegas. Everything very clean and everyone very friendly! Pools great too- we really hope to return!!!
A good trip for us. We had a wifi problem, which they fixed by placing a router in our room. We didn't get to see the fountains much due to high winds. If you have pollen allergies, this is definitely not the place to stay, the first thing you smell is fresh flowers everywhere. We stayed on the 20th floor in a lake view room and the pillows were awesome! A small note, if you want to be able to charge your room, it's about a $675 hold on your credit card in case you use the minibar.
Gorgeous overall hotel. I think it's time for the rooms to be overhauled, but the scenery and atmosphere are hard to top. Great dining choices, recommend anywhere with a lakeside seating, especially Olives.
Just got back from a fantastic weekend at the Bellagio. Excellent hotel. No lines at all for check in. Did the $20 trick that worked like a charm and were upgraded to the new section of the hotel that is newly renovated and had larger rooms. Policy suggests you cannot get to your room until 3, but we're able to get in for 11. Clean rooms and good view. If you plan on eating/drinking at Bellagio, expect to pay a lot. All and all, this is a great hotel in a fantastic location. Definitely will be back.
Had a great trip here. Service is amazing. Very polite staff for the most part. We Stayed on the 22nd floor in a lakeview room. The room was perfect. One downside is the line to the buffet. Massive line, but worth it. Also the blackjack has gone to a constant 6 deck shuffle, but at least it's 3/2 and not 6/5 for the bj payout. Something that I loved about the casino were the comped drinks. I love good beer, and they had Sierra Nevada, fat tire, and other high quality brews. Bartender closest to the war table was awesome. Very nice guy. Great trip.
We will be staying here 3/21 and 3/22. I'll be sure to post an objective review.
Have stayed here three times and love the place. The last stay was a comped tower deluxe - on check-in, we were allocated a deluxe on a low floor which we were nit happy with. The former Eastern Bloc receptionist was totally unhelpful insisting that this was the only room available to us. However, a few 'phonecalls to Casino Marketing sorted it out and the rest of the stay was great. However, I must agree with a previous reviewer about some if the reception staff ... they need to get down of their imaginary podiums and treat the people who are ultimately paying their wages with sons respect .. some re-training, perhaps.
I didn't stay, but I wish I had. Service is excellent!!!! Buffet excellent!! Beautiful!!
Class. Excellent staff, rooms and food. You cannot go wrong here. It feels like a warm blanket. Our hotel of choice from now on.
Hotel is shear class. O is brilliant and a must if you go to Vegas. Only downside is there ain't one. Will be back and soon.
Stayed in one of the Bellagio Fountain View Suites. Room was showing its age, lots of stains on the furniture. Windows were filthy, but the view overall was great at night. Bed was rock hard. People at the front desk were rude and the least bit accommodating. For as much as I was spending I felt like the attitude was "Give us your money and get the F### out". This hotel has long passed its prime. I won't be returning.
We did not stay at Bellagio but used it for a place to sit and people watch. Great couches and chairs down the long hallway towards the monorail, which we found odd that we could not find any references/signs about it until you stumbled upon it. We ended up using that free monorail almost daily to save our feet.
Gib at the bar between the Bank and poker room is the nicest bartender in the city. Love him!
Fantastic location on the strip....perhaps the best! Top notch service, super clean, and great restaurants. Only gripe is the bathrooms in the rooms feel a little aged. The fixtures are old and need to be updated.
We stayed in the spa tower. It's nice. Rooms are outdated but still in good shape. Good service at the bellagio as always and good restaurants on site.
Stayed in the bellagio lakeview suite, amazing room however the room service only gave new towels. They never once emptied our garbage, ashtrays or restocked the mini bar which wasn't full to begin with. The casino is amazing the only thing I didn't like was checking in and out. When I booked the room I was told all suites were smoking n when we got there it wasn't and had to wait 45 minutes for the supervisor to get us one with smoking. Then at check out we waited another 40 minutes to sort out the room bill because they tried charging me a second time for the upgrade from the bellagio suite to the lakeview which I had booked and paid for months in advance!!!
A short but enjoyable stay in a remodeled room at Bellagio. The new decor is not perfect but the update is welcome - the room feels much lighter and the bed was very nice. The in-room WiFi had a very weak signal, which is unfortunate as it was the only thing in the resort fee I actually wanted to use.
Don't stay at Bellagio unless you're going to gamble.
Gorgeous hotel and lovely water show! Although I HATE the people traffic walking from the water show. It's wayyyyyyy too squished up there. People with claustrophobia, DO NOT walk through there! You're bearly able to walk! But it's a very very nice hotel :)
Lovely propery!! Enjoyed every minute of it.
Stayed there a week at end of May. Hotel was nice. Have stayed at Venetian in the past, and prefer it to Bellagio. The rooms are much smaller at Bellagio and not as nice.
Literally don't have the words to describe my experience here. Everything, I mean everything was first rate. From check in at the executive lounge where we were upgraded from the Cypress Suite to a Penthouse lakeside to check out where a limousine drove us to the airport we were pampered beyond our wildest dreams. Center strip with amazing views of the lake and strip it is easy to make your way anywhere. Not that you'd want to. Bellagio has everything you need. Pool, shopping, everything from world class dining to the buffet and cafe, shopping and of course an excellent casino and a variety of entertainment made for an incredibly fun and romantic weekend. Even if you just do it once in your life, stay at Bellagio.
I stayed over Easter week and I did enjoy my stay because the staff was so great. I do have to say though my room had a big stain in the carpet. Had the buffet Easter Sunday big disappoint. They charged me 94.00 dollars for 2 people and the food was not worth it, had breakfast buffet once not bad . Wanted to add another night and they wanted to charge me 200.00 more than what I had been paying for my room. I moved down to the Mirage for the rest of the time I was in town and liked it just as good . The only thing I missed was the soaking tub . Would I stay there again yes but only with a really good price on the room, as far as food we enjoyed eating away from the buffets better. You can have really nice dinners for about the same price has the buffets. I used to live there so I always ask the locals where to go.I was in town for a week and if you have a car it is worth the drive and money to get off the strip to eat and gamble.
Wow what a grand breakfast buffet they have! If you do Vegas you cannot miss coming here to the buffet! Anything you want to eat...it was like food you get at an all inclusive resort (Sandals) nothing tasted bad! It's pricey but hey, you ate hungry right? Enjoy!
Loved casino best free drinks :) dealers classy and patient with newbies . Line long for buffet. Did not stay. Visually stunning
When to the spa today with the wife. Wow what a disappointment. Everything about it was horrible. This spa lacks so much. They should just close it down and use the space for something better.
Currently staying here and have ti say that this is a disappointment. This hotel lacks everything it should. The rooms are nice but clearly not worth close to what they charge. No flat panel tv's but a tube set. The bed, sheets and pillows are horrible, you'll find much better at a Marriott hotel. Overall, should have spent the difference and stayed somewhere else.
Love The Bellagio! We stay there when we go to Vegas, we do however have one HUGE complaint, which I brought to the attention of the management last time we were there. The bartenders at The Sports Book are INCREDIBLY rude and insulting! They're the same bartenders that have been there for years and they are just awful!
Great hotel and casino!!!!!!!!!!
Stayed here twice. Upon making reservations for this month, the hotels website offered free limo transportation if you were staying in a penthouse suite. But I booked through Orbitz and immediately was treated like a second class citizen. The Bellagio refused my transportation request because I booked through a "wholesaler". The hotel is nice and worth the stay, but this attitude just showed what they think of customer service period!
Can't beat the mid-Strip location, but I hate the crowds clogging the lobby. Unable to upgrade as I was told at check in that hotel was fully booked. Nonetheless, pool view standard room was large and offered great view of Rio and Palms. Video check out smooth. May not be best on Strip any more, but still satisfies.
Stayed there a few years back. At the time is was only my second trip ever to Vegas. To be honest the allure of the Bellagio was personified in Oceans 11. That primarily lead myself and a group of friends to stay there. Needless to say the luxury at the time was unmatched (Wynncore in it's own league). Overall great stay affording average play folk to feel the lap of luxury.
The line was pretty long, but we got through it in about 30 minutes (including paying for our tickets and getting seated).
The Kobe Tri Tip was very good. Snow crab galore - also good. There was definitely a variety - something for everyone. We had a large group so they automatically charged each of us an 18% gratuity which I don't appreciate. Our service was terrible. I got one drink - never got a refil. Once everyone at our table got our drinks, our server never checked to see if we needed anything. Only the bussers would come to take our plates, and occasionally our server would come to get our plates. But the server never once asked us if we needed anything. So if you have a group of 8 or more, tell them you have two groups of four and you want two tables next to each other. Basically, since we paid our gratuity ahead of time, our server ignored us for 80% of the time.
Also, the dessert area was... Okaaay. Not amazing. Lots of cakes mostly. I was expecting at least some gelato for the price we had to pay! Oh yeah, we paid 29.99 PLUS our mandatory 18% gratuity. BOOOOOOOO. Actually, I won't eat here again. I'd rater eat at the Rio Carnival Buffet. There's much more variety there.
If you want to try the dinner buffet at the Bellagio, go right before lunch ends so that you can get dinner at the lunch price. That's the only way it's worth it.
Best hotel I have ever been to.
A nice stay at Bellagio. It may have slipped a bit in prominence but the service was mostly impeccable and the room was very comfortable.
It is the best hotel in Vegas I stayed there twice in I love it
Icon of the Las Vegas strip! Although it is starting to show it's age a bit inside, I still love staying at Bellagio. Sure there are more ultra-premium accommodations in Vegas, but not much beats a fountain view room. Great location on the strip too. Like many high end properties, cheap eats are few and far between so plan to head across the street to Miracle Mile.
The best grand hotel in Vegas- excellent all around.
Still the best casino on the Strip. The hotel is beautiful, the free fountain show is still extremely entertaining, and the staff is fantastic.
We had a wonderful time at Bellagio. Staff is very attentive, well kept, and always anxious to assist you regardless of what that may be. Excellent stay!
Fabulous hotel! The lakes are absolutely stunning, as is the garden and the restaurants. Five stars!
It was a decent hotel, but they did try to stick us in a 7th floor room calling it a 'lakeview' delux king... We had to complain about the little sliver of the fountains we could barely see... We did have a good view od the back of a building.... But, they did treat us well and they did relocate us up to the 16th floor where the view was stunning. LESSON: if you want a good view of the fountains, don't accept a low floor.
Had trouble sleeping... Not too much of a problem, i mean this is Vegas, but the fountains are loud ans the pillows at Bellagio we not my preffered style... They were very large and thick... I am accustomed to memory foam and ...so,it may just be me on that one. Food was good, staff was good, view was great location was great...
Very tight slots this time around but still the creme de la creme of the Strip. Delicious nibbles in the Executive Lounge, top notch housekeeping, beds you just don't want to get out of and a host of dining options to suit most pockets. Although pristine, the penthouse suites are overdue an update to remain competitive with the likes of Wynn and Encore.
We came from Australia, my first OS trip to Vegas and we weren't disappointed. We stayed at the Bellagio, we had a room facing the fountains, it was HUGE!!! I have read other reviews where they say it's looking tired, that's not the case at all!! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful thru out the entire casino from waitresses to concierge and housekeeping. We ate at Jasmines and Olives and although neither are cheap, the food was sensational and well worth the bill. I highly recommend this hotel, you get what you pay for and after visiting some other casinos, it was always nice to walk back into the Bellagio.
Flew all the way from Australia to look at both Wynns, Mirage, Mandalay Bay, Aria, Palms, Planet H, Caesars, MGM Grand and Bellagio wins hands down on all accounts and most importantly - staff.
Beautiful hotel! After all, it is a Leading Hotel of the World. :)
Great hotel! Never had any problems with service or the room. Granted it is a long walk to the elevators but exercise doesn't hurt anyone especially after eating the buffet. Olives and Prime are a must.
Had a Buffett here and it was horriable, very disappointing never again, but casino very nice
Crowded. Nice place but jammed packed. Would not stay there. Go to the Wynn
Magnificent lakefront room, great amenities, long walk to guest elevators. You have to walk thru the casino to get back to your room. Great for their profit, bad for my tired feet and the end of a long day.
On June 30, I stayed in room 61 on the 25 floor of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The next morning I found my ankles covered with itchy bites and strings of bites on other places. My doctor said the bites were most probably bed bugs. When I called the hotel, they were intimidating and rude. They said since they would have to close the 25th floor,I must come and prove my accusation. I have stayed at the Bellagio at least once a year since it opened. The change in policy is very evident. They do not care.
Excellent hotel!! My wife and I stayed here June 16-23 2010. Tried the $20 trick & told them it was anniversary, they upgraded us to a lakeview room with a SPECTACULAR view...and didn't accept the $20! The hotel manager came sown to the front desk and thanked us for choosing the Bellagio to celebrate our anniversary, then she said she'd send us a bottle of champagne! We checked in our room, 15 mins later a hotel employee delivered us a box of candy and a card! The next day (our anniversary day) around 4pm our bottle of champagne was delivered long with chocolate covered strawberries & another card!!! During our entire stay everyone was very friendly & very helpful! We will definetly return to the Bellagio & I highly recommend it to everyone!
Stayed here may 2010. It is amazing. In my opinion the classiest hotel on the strip with the best location also. Staff all friendly. Room service about 4 times a day!!
Nice hotel, very friendly staff (once a bit too friendly from a female bellhop!) but just plain over crowded to the point of non-relaxing. Beautiful things (and people) to look at, but there is a line and a wait for everything. I gave up on Bellagio as my primary place to stay in Vegas once Encore opened. All the luxury with much more open space.
Put me in a smoking room when i had registered 6 weeks ago for a non-smoking. Tried to make it bearable by using some chemical misting machine. Managed to make the room smell like the inside of a car that had just been cleaned and the leather treated - now worse than the smoke.
The hotel was conveniently full and no rooms were available to move into.
The hotel customer care and concern suck.
Fab hotel but beware check in staff trying to flog upgrades! We were told no room was available for check in until 6pm but we could get in sooner if we wanted to upgrade at an additional $60 night. Since our booking had been months in advance we resisted and lo and behold were checked into the upgraded accommodation for no additional cost. Everthing else was terrific especially the pool area and service
Bellagio is a classic, it's beautiful, very classy with much to do. I do think the rooms need a serious update. Some of them are stuffy, with older looking televisions and bedding. I've stayed at lower priced rooms that were much nicer. I really feel like they could use more modern and sophisticated furnishing. But the hotel itself is absolutely magnificent. The shops, the art, the fountains?!? I mean it's the Bellagio, very elegant!
Bring a flashlight! In an attempt to save energy, the brightest bulb in the room was only 40 watts. I couldn't see the desk-side outlet and had to feel around while trying to plug in my laptop. Other than that the room was OK, but as mentioned elsewhere, definitely not up to date. Not shabby or worn down mind you, but lacking the latest and greatest, like HDTV's. My mom wouldn't mind.
I stayed at the Bellagio in late April. While the property does get some criticism due to the room showing it's age and wear, in my opinion that criticism is a bit overblown.
The rooms did not make it into the renovation period that many resorts did over the last 5 years, no new flat screen tvs or updated carpeting.
However, the rooms have held up fairly well, at least compared to other's on the strip that were updated more recently (see my Flamingo review). The standard (deluxe) room offers a large amount of space and a large bathroom, beds are very comfortable.
The employees throughout the hotel are pleasant and friendly, and I've never had a bad encounter with an employee at the resort, while it may not meet Wynn's standards, there is a sense of pride I see in the employees that they are working at the Bellagio, and much like you can find at Caesars due to much of the staff working there for so long, it's a unique charm to the resort, that isn't available to a resort under 10 years old in my opinion.
I stayed here 3yrs ago for what was supposed to be 4nights. I was in a fountain view room. I thought that it was going to be bigger. I didn't really get to enjoy staying here because on the first night I eat at the buffet and ended up getting the Norwalk virus. I spent the rest of my trip in the poor accommodations of valley hospital. I know that alot of hotels were having the norwalk out break. But if you had that virus you wouldn't want it every again. I don't plan on staying or eating at belliago ever again.
I stayed in a lake view room and the view was spectacular for watching the fountain shows. The room was spacious and well appointed. The pool area was very good and the pool bar staff very attentive. The buffet was good for both breakfast or dinner although some of the staff in the buffet could have been better. However, unlike all the other hotels on the strip which seem to have a somewhat friendly, anything you desired could happen feel the Bellagio has a feel more like it had a rod up it's back and it was trying to be a litlle too pretentious. A very good luxurious hotel but I wouldn't necessarily stay there again.
The casino is overrated. Well I guess unless you have thousands to spend and don't mind sub-par drink service then this is the place for you. But if you're just the average gambler playing dollar machines or $10 tables, don't expect anything. We sat at a machine for a long time and the cocktail waitress didn't approach us once. However she kept coming back to serve the guy who was playing the $10 machines that were across from us! That definitely turned me off from this place.
Still a jewel on the Strip. It's a former Wynn property and still holds the charms that made it so great. The pool area is still great, the conservatory is stll a sight to behold. And the architecture and lake are still stunning. Though the having to call down to request turn down service as an amenity is bad form, and for a luxury hotel they should have flat screen in all the rooms.
We stayed at the end of March 2010 and everything exceeded our expectations. The Bellagio suite was the perfect romantic choice for my wife's birthday treat! Staff were very friendly and the casino staff were fun, welcoming and helpful. No where else we visited felt as comfortable and luxurious. The Bellagio will be the place we choose for our next romantic get-away!
Hotel was really nice, room and view was great. Some of the staff were snotty and unhelpful, but most were fine. Not recommended for children as there is little to do for them.
They need Better wals because when I was trying to get an hour of sleep the other guy was... let's not talk about
Bellagio was the standard in Las Vegas luxury, but now Wynn's and the Venetian have given it some stiff competition.
We have always stayed there because we liked the roomy casino, the service, the ambiance and the fountain show. The last time we stayed there, it seemed to be showing a bit of age and needed a bit of a fix in spots. The food prices seemed higher than the last visit and the buffet no longer holds the allure it once did. The casino wasn't hopping like in the past, probably because no one seemed to be winning. The Bellagio holds a place in my heart, but my new favorites are the Venetian and Wynn's where the employees seem to be a bit happier.
Good hotel and excellent service although looks a bit old fashioned now when you see Aria at the center and Encore/ Wynn
Amazing hotel! The classiest lobby and spectacle gardens anywhere in the U.S. that I can think of. The rooms are gorgeous and the service was spot on. Will certainly return.
I don't think this is 5stars
I was so excited to go to the Bellagio when I was in vegas for the first time a few weeks ago. We went there on a Thursday night and expected the casino to be rather busy, however it really wasn't. The high limit tables were busy, but otherwise there weren't many people around. We sat down at a $0.25 video poker machine just to goof around a bit. We played for close to an hour and not ONCE did a cocktail waitress even come close to our area. This aggravated me because it's not like we weren't spending money... we just weren't spending as much as the people at the tables. We did encounter a member of the security staff as we were walking around the hotel/casino looking for the gardens (which were closed because they were redoing them for spring). He wasn't very friendly and just told us we couldn't go in there (a if the ropes and signs weren't a given). So we left and just went to gamble elsewhere.
We returned to the Bellagio the next night for the Dinner Buffet because we heard it was the best in town... Well, I suppose if you like seafood and meats such as quail and ostrich, then this is a great buffet and worth every penny. I, however, am not a big fan of seafood or exotic meats, so there wasn't much for me to choose from. However, the food I did eat was VERY good. If you don't mind dropping $35/pp on a buffet, definitely go here!
Also, the fountain show in the front of the hotel was awesome! We saw it both during the day and at night. There's just something about watching water 'dance' to music that always amuses me! Definitely something to see!!!
As expected Bellagio delivers an experience of luxury, even at discount rates. My wife found a coupon code for Bellagio while I was booking at MGM Grand. The coupon code was good for 3 nights at $90 each. This was just $30 more than our MGM booking so we went for it. We tried the $20 trick with another couple we were traveling with (so $40 total to the reservation clerk) and it worked like a charm. We received a 10th floor center of the hotel fountain view room. Fantastic view from the floor to ceiling windows, high enough to see over the casino building, but not too high that we were looking down on the world. We had a great meal at Prime Steakhouse (since we saved so much on the room) and enjoyed the pool immensely for the first time in Vegas since we visited in August.
Great show. The water aspect of it was amazing. However two performers messed up. One couldn't hang on during one of the high flying routines and fell into the water and the other was a fire dancer dude who dropped the sticks of fire that he was performing with. It kind of ruined the mood for a little bit.
I visit Vegas approximately 4 times a year. One of my friends had never been to Vegas and I knew the perfect first impression would be the Bellagio and we weren't disappointed this trip. The location is center strip and very convenient. It has many shopping and dining choices. I always eat at the coffee shop and order the club sandwich, Bellagio Cocktail and the Apple dessert. Yum. The rooms are spacious and the service is outstanding. Don't miss the atrium or the fountain show. This trip we ate at the buffet for Sunday brunch and it was good. I haven't been to many buffets in Vegas so I don't know how it compares. We also had breakfast at the coffee shop and through room service and both were very good. I will definitely stay again.
Best bang for your buck of any Strip hotel, hands down. Ever since Wynn opened and began peeling off the ultra-luxury customers, the pricing has become extremely competetive. It always undercuts Wynn/Encore, and is almost always a very small premium to upgrade from a midrange hotel to Bellagio. That small upgrade gets you a better location than Wynn, impeccable service, and a ten-year old casino that with such quality construction that it still looks newer than more recently renovated properties. I always mean to stay elsewhere for variety's sake, but the alternatives are invariably more expensive or have only a modest discount and are not nearly as nice.
Really, this hotel blows
Just returned from vagas stayed at the Ballagio. Oppulance and service were second to none. Certainly recommend a stay here.
Didn't stay here but the water show outside is breathtaking. I have to say... I sure hope this is what heaven will be like.
Very classy, elegant, quiet gaming floor. Outstanding race/sports book.
Still legendary and one of the top hotels in the world. Will certainly stay at Bellagio again! Five Stars.
May be a Five Star if you have a five star wallet. Stayed three nights, Sunday through Wednesday.
Greeted with a disgruntled receptionest
mater of fact and uncaring.
Room was not as advertised, called front desk with a "SO" response. Was told I would have a room overlooking the fountain, but when i looked out I saw Ceasers across the street. No attention to details. Hall lamps were not adjusted, some bent over, others pointing up and others at an angle. Cover of emergency phone in one elevator was dangeling on one hinge. Was that way for the duration of the stay.
Took 45 minutes to respond to a malfunction in the room. (Safe would not open) Security staff was personable.
Had room tempature set at 63, but it did not get under 74 for the whole stay.
Room was very comfortable, except for being hot.
Breakfast buffet was cold, (Not luke warm, COLD) water standing in processed scrambeled eggs with a crust over the top. Asked for a refund from uncaring management. The free cup of coffee was pretty good.
Previously had stayed at the Wynn, this time at the Bellagio. We all make bad choices at one time or another. This was one of them.
Next time my choices are the Wynn or Bill's. At least you can get two eggs any way you want them, a hugh slice of ham, hash browns, toast and coffee at $2.99 before 6:00 am, and it was hot. (Okay if you are from the east) Everyone was very friendly at Bill's and they appreciated your spending the $2.99.
Spent hours and several $$$ at slots over a two day period with little or no service. (Even with $5 tips)
I must say, my last night there was the ultimate five star Las Vegas experience. After losing several $$$ the first two days, I sat at a 1 cent slot for several hours, and had the most wonderful attendant. Would like to have remembered her name. I did not ask nor did I wait for service. She was there. She paid attention to my habits and catered to my needs. When I thought of asking for something, she was there with it. I had two cigaretts left and she brought me another pack without my asking. I gave her my money and not the slot. If she happens to read this, Thank you very much.
I would go back to the Bellagio in a heart beat if this one attendant were cloned throughout the hotel. My guess, she is an exception, not only at the Bellagio, but in all Las Vegas.
Next time in Vegas, I will stay at the Wynn, (Or Bill's) I will go to the Bellagio only to find the one attendant. If she is there I will contribute to their establishment, if not, I will go elsewhere.
Leaving, everyone was very nice, caring and catered to my needs.
Do not know what it was, but Sunday, Monday was dark and day light different from Tuesday and Wednesday.
If I had been greeted with the same enthusiasm I received on Tuesday and Wednesday, this whole story would be different.
The first impression done it for me.
The only place I will stay in Vegas
Fantastic resort overall. Spa tower offers nice views at a lower price than main tower and also is close to City Center tram. Room in great shape. Staff all friendly except in workout facility, where they ignored my wife completely. Poker Room management could also use a shaking up in my opinion.
Stellar service and gorgeous room! Were overlooking the lake and water show, which was awesome! Five stars. Will certainly return.
Over the last six years have visited Vegas twice a year and stayed @ Bellagio. Was dissapointed with the service on llast stay. Upon arrival room was not clean, mini bar had items from previous guest still in there. Informed them, nothing was done although we were thanked for informing them. Generally the service through out had seemed to drop. Checked out midway through stay and went to Ceasers new tower, excellent service and amenities. Right now back in Vegas and staying at Pallazzo also an excellent alternative.
Outstanding! We had a suite looking at the lake and it was gorgeous. The hotel itself is amazing and staff is quite helpful. While your there, you must see the gardens.
Must agree with the previous review. Stayed for a week over new year. Some staff where friendly and helpfully, others were rude. It's reputation is as a luxury hotel, more like a decent Disney hotel to be honest. Am having a nice stay here at the moment but it's not comparable to a five star hotel in places such as Paris, London or new York. Also feels like a shopping mall with thousands of people walking around. Still it's Vegas and it is fun!
Bellagio poker room is a dump, manged by a moron with short man syndrome. If you ever make a complaint You're sure to be ignored. Poker dealers are lazy, burned out, rude, talks too much in the box. Floor personell is dumber than dumb when it comes to ruling. Cocktail waitress all have attitude. You almost have to beg to get a bottle of water. I made a complaint to the director. His reply is "if you don't like it don't come back. I hope they go bankrupt soon.
I stayed for one month in the villa suite and one month in the penthouse suite. The Bellagio exceeded my every expectation from my personal butler to the in room spa treatments. When I entered the lobby, My breath was taken away. Via Bellagio (the shopping mall) was beautiful and distinct . 5 stars. Two thumbs up!!
Stayed in the Bellagio January 09 and returning Dec 09 . Stayed In a few hotels in Vegas but when you stay here you wouldn't change it for the world . Everything about this hotel is quality .
Just checked out today. Anniversary trip, first time stay. Central location nice, staff friendly, clean, room service was excellent. Spa tower was quieter which was good because the hotel was louder and busier than I imagined. The overall price wasn't bad but still for upscale, the room door did not shut without slamming nor did the shower door. The shower head was disappointing. The rug needs replacing as do the old televisions. The view over the parking lot fine but the curve cars squeak around constantly as they enter gets old. Would stay at wynn, encore,THE Hotel or off strip next time.
Not a patch on the Encore, rooms looking a bit tired. Def NOT the only place to stay in Vegas
We've stayed at the Bellagio three times this year and I must say that each time was great. The hotel is elegant and very clean. The rooms are nice and also very clean. The food is very good and one night I ate at a sandwich shop in the casino and had the turkey club sandwich. It was superb and was actually real carved turkey breast and not processed lunch meat. The buffet is also very good but sometimes the lines get a bit long. I like their video poker machines and I've won a total of 56K with the three trips combined...brought home maybe 40K. One night there I had a serious case of "gas" and was busting out some nasty farts. I noticed this elderly couple playing keno together and I kept doing "drive bys" passed their machines and I gassed em pretty good. They kept giving each other dirty looks thinking that the other one was passing smelly farts. I don't even know the costs of the rooms since they comp us with free offers. Its location is right in the middle of all the action and the tram is nearby to go to other places. Check in and check out lines are very short and fast. We're going to the Monte Carlo in a couple of weeks because they comp'd me a suite for three nights and I hope that I am not disappointed. Once you have been to the Bellagio it is hard to accept anything less. We used to stay at the Luxor but they started getting cheap with their comps plus it's getting run down and their slot machines are tighter then Fort Knox. Stayed at Bally's a couple of times and it is old and it stinks like Moose Farts inside. Plus the cocktail waitresses are rude. Stayed once at the Four Queens and I think the Nevada Prison system gets their food from the this place. Anyway Bellagio is your ticket to success.
Second visit in one year. The Penthouse Suite is still as good, as is the great levels of service. Ate at Olives (excellent) and Noodles (mediocre). However, will be tempted to try some of the other suite options next time. Slots were quite loose for a change. But you can't really go wrong here.
There is only one place to stay in Vegas.....BELLAGIO! Always stay in the Penthouse Suite. Spectacular service. EXCELLENT!
Bellagio.....trust me, the only place to stay in Las Vegas!!!!!
Para mi es el mejor Hotel de Las Vegas, he estado 2 veces y vuelvo otra vez en enero 2010. Recomiendo una habitación con vistas al lago. Simplemente ESPECTACULAR!!!
Got married at Bellagio, October 14th 2008. Stayed in a fountain view room, fantastic time, service second to none me and my beautiful wife loved this place and the rest of Vegas! 100 percent recommended :-)
I stayed for 4 nights at the Bellagio and it met and excedeed my expectations. The hotel is huge but after a while you will get used it. The casino is nice and the shops and restruants are great, but rather pricey. Even the base rooms are luxuriouius. I reccomend it!
Fabulous atmosphere, beautiful public spaces and friendly staff. If you can stretch to a Penthouse Suite do it .... You'll get VIP check-in, line passes to the buffet & Cafe Bellagio and 1700 sq ft of luxury
Be ready to stand in line as this is a very popular buffet in the strip. Everyhing here is in abundance and traffic around the buffet bars is heavy. I love the jumbo shrimp & deserts they have. You can say that they have plenty of everyhing for everyone & be ready to pay accordingly.
Had lunch buffet it was incredible! So much food there was food everywhere. So much to choose from truly world class!
Amazing hotel, stayed in a lakeview room spotless clean and beautiful decoration. Pool is beautiful and not too crowded, food options cover all budgets and were all very good. Tip for photos get up early as after about 9:30am the place is full to the brim with nosey tourists...great great place
We stayed in the bellagio last July and it was the best hotel we've stayed in new York new York and the luxor bt not like the bellagio and the fountains r out of this world.
Excellent hotel that fully lived up to it's reputation. Everything was extremely classy and well done. The sheer size of the place was a surprise but after a while you get used to it. Buffet as good as can be expected but very long queues for Cafe Bellagio. A point worth noting is that if you stay here you can bill your drinks in any of the other MGM Group hotels to your room. Would definitely stay again
One of the best poker rooms in Vegas. Tables are a little close but that is the only negative. Cocktails and service are the best in town. Fun to watch the poker elite play in the High stakes room.
Stayed in Spa Tower. Nice room and reliable twice daily maid service. Lobby and common areas too congested with tourists ruining any attempt at relaxation over coffee or drinks. Spa elevator too far from entrance necessitating ugly walk through congested lobby. Felt like Fifth Ave in December! Maybe better to visit than stay.
The most opulent hotel on the strip. Unbeleivable!
The best hotel on the strip....Great staff!! Bellagio gave us the treat of a lifetime...Will never forget this experience!!!!! I love the hotel and the people, just can't wait to come back:-)
The Best Hotel & Casino
Best hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. I've stayed there six times since 2004 and have always been impressed with the level of service, the suites, the casino, and the staff. While our last stay there was a little less enjoyable - from a very rude bellhop to a disappearing waiter in the Cafe Bellagio -we found that management was very approachable and friendly. If you choose to stay there you will experience a level of service you won't get anywhere else in Vegas. I've stayed at other properties but we ALWAYS return to Bellagio.
I love Bellagio. Always a great time. Every stay there is a top notch experience.
Do not go see Cirque Du Soleil at O'Theater. I had a terrible experience with these people.
They are very arrogant and not very friendly at all. You can't even ask for the directions to your seat.
Most of them are rude and will most likely brush you off.
I've stayed at Bellagio many times and once again, they delivered a great experience.
Service was tops, the room was nice and clean and the casino was willing to let me win just long enough to keep me interested.
I stayed at the Bellagio almost 3 years ago and perhaps things have changed. The casino itself is beautiful and has a most pleasant atmosphere. The standard room was what I would call comtemporary dreary and it's decor does not stay with the overall theme of the hotel. The bathroom was very nice, but still quite contemporary. Things may have changed since I stayed there. They could do so much to improve the room decor.
I go to Vegas 4+ times a year, and have stayed at most of the strip hotels. Everytime I do not stay at the Bellagio (I like to try new ones out), I find myself saying "I have to go back to the Bellagio." I consider myself to have high expectations, and the staff at the Bellagio does not fail to impress. I've stayed in every type of room they have, from the standard, to their penthouse suites and the villas. No matter where you are, staff treats you like a high roller, no matter if you are, or are not.
Next time I go, I will most definitely be returning.
I just returned from a 4 day stay at the Bellagio. It was all I expected. The staff was great and helped us with everything. We stayed in the Spa Tower (the lake view rooms were booked :( ) Besides not having a lake view room, everything was great.
I stayed at the Bellagio for 8 nights in March 2007. WE payed for the Bellagio Suite and asked for an upgrade to fountain view and received it at no cost, just a nice tip.
THe Bellagio was one of our finest hotel experiences we have ever had. We were treated like royalty by the entire staff. The loaction could not be beat, the suite was the finest we have ever stayed in and the fountain shows were spectacular. The pool was great and the spa was fantastic. Yes very expensive but great. As far as the hotel, staff and restaurants everything was a 10.
The casino was big and well ventilated. We did not win and the machines seemed tight as no one was winning anything when we were there, but I don't hold the hotel responsible for that. Plenty of tables available and a fun sportsbook area.
If the $$ is not an issue then this is THE place to be. If the $$ is an issue, don't stay here but writing bad reviews because of the $$ spent isn't fair.
We love this place.
Had another great trip to Bellagio. The hotel seems to be getting better with age. I might be crazy but I think they are re-doing a lot of stuff here at Bellagio.
The hotel is still great. I love it.
Hello all. Hope this review helps everyone. We just stayed at the Bellagio 10/1 - 10/8th. I cannot complain about anything.
The one thing I will tell everyone is if possible, book a Bellagio Suite or Penthouse suite. This package comes with VIP service - limo to and from airport, VIP check in, discounted limo service during your trip, front of the line TAXI service, and front of the line for the buffet and cafe. Believe me, without this service this trip could have been a nightmare.
Example: Every day/night the buffet and cafe lines were extremely long. Our VIP line was less than two minutes. Also, the cab lines were wrapped around the side buidling, where as we were escorted directly to the next cab. We used the discounted limo service twice for our return trip BACK to the hotel. These services made the trip more enjoyable.
The pool area was very relaxing with practically NO children. We saw maybe two to three children on our three trips to the pool. If you want an Adult type of atmosphere, this is where you should be staying. It is not children friendly - such as Circus Circus and the other casinos that push for families.
Our Penthouse room was fabulous. We had the fountain view, and I was there for many of the shows (morning/night). It was so different viewing from the room. My husband had no interest in the fountains, but I thought it was definitely worth it. Also, it is so nice to stay in the bedroom at night, with the drapes open, veiwing all the night lights. If you can afford it, go for it. But again, it depends on you personally.
If the Bellagio isn't the very best hotel in town it is one of the top two or three. It certainly has the best pool area. Everything is first rate, however, the quality of the buffet has fallen of late. The buffet is no better than average for the strip, yet it is the most expensive.
Plus:
Pool
Shopping
Food
Location
Minus:
Price
This hotel is really nice good views of Paris and the fountains but i would rather stay at The Venetian
I am a regular visitor to Las Vegas (4+ times per year) and, after years of hotel hopping, Bellagio is the best!!!
I am not going to say that they are perfect; I have run into a few problems. BUT --- they handle problems very well and make sure that I am happy.
Should you wish to stay here, I highly recommend talking to Rosa in reservations - very nice, very helpful!
Talk to Stephanie Connell at the front desk if you need anything during your stay.
Tell them that Brian Rossignol referred you.
I am for anywhere where there are no annoying kids in the hotel or casino!
Wynn?? No thanks...Bellagio still at the top.A lot of people agree with this one.
But i'm afraid this place will soon lose terrain as it seems currently going under a strong MGMMIRAGEZATION.As a matter of fact, look at the new high limit lounge, the Salon Prive:the designo could fit perfectly in the Mirage or Treasureisland.....standard....vey boring
The Bellagio truly is everything that you could hope for! It really has worked hard to keep up with Wynn and is doing a GREAT JOB.
Hasn't missed a beat... Clearly still THE BEST in Vegas!
Clearly the most luxurious resort in Vegas! When I checked in, I was automatically upgraded to one of their "Tower Deluxe" rooms in the Spa Tower. It was truly an amazing room... About the size of Wynn's complete a HUGE bathroom with a view and fabulously expensive furnishings. The entire resort has that "grande-dame" feel to it. I personally do not feel as if MGM Mirage has ruined the feel of Bellagio. The service is still just as efficient and caring; the pool's ambiance was mesmerizing. Tried many restaurants, Sensi and Picasso being my favorites. Overall, a GREAT stay - Already booked another stay for February. (This time, I'm trying the penthouse)
Stayed three nights at the Bellagio in July. Was a bit worried at some of the comments posted on this board. I must say, we seem to have stayed at a completely different hotel! We found the service, the room and the casino to be everything we had hoped. In a word, outstanding.
Granted, we splurged on a penthouse suite and who wouldn't be happy with his and hers bathrooms! But nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would stay at the Bellagio in a heartbeat!
Stayed at Bellagio over July 4 holiday and it was great. Had a Salone Suite with windows on two side including over the bathtub for the same price as the standard room at the Wynn. The new Spa here is great and the service was very special. The front desk folks were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the views were the best on the Strip. Ate dinner at Circo and Sensi and loved both of them. After staying at the Wynn, it was good to see the Bellagio getting even better. I would much prefer to stay at Bellagio and not a hotel that looks like a copy inside at the Wynn
This hotel has great ameneties and is a beautiful property. Unfortunately the service at the front desk, group desk, etc, is way below the facility's stature.
After leading a group visit, I would never stay at this hotel again. Not only were the problems extensive and in one case even outrageous; they only netted a token form letter response from management and only after a lengthy complaint process. I would expect better from any 3 star hotel. How they got a 5 diamond award with their service problems is a mystery.
In fairness to their other staff, the restaurant staff was very good and, aside from taking furnishings from my room to give to someone else, housekeeping was satisfactory.
For the money stay at wynn las vegas.
Yesterday (4-25-2005) my wife and i were just plain ripped off at the Petrossian Bar. We asked for the 20 gram caviar sampler, he repeated the order back, 20 grams it is. When the bill came he had charged us for the 30 gram, 440 dollar sampler.
On the other hand, when we had dinner at Olives later that night they gve us a terrace table right next to the Bellagio lagoon. This is just about the best table in Las Vegas.
So...win some, lose some...
We arrived at 4 p.m. on 4/10/05 and were told that our room was not ready. We came back 2 hours later and were told that the ONLY room available was a smoking optional view ---take it or leave it. By this time, we were tired and wanted to get something to eat so we went to the buffet and then went to the room. It reeked of smoke and was filthy! In all my years, I have NEVER EVER went to a room in Las Vegas and it has been dirty. We were told to go out and they would send someone to clean it. By 9 p.m.--five hours later, it was finally cleaned and de-smoked! Everyone at the hotel constantly watches you and you are constantly warned that if you take something--an insult to my upbrining as I was taught not to steal....that it will be added to your hotel bill. Save your money and go stay at Green Valley Ranch---they are currently only a 4-Diamond Resort---Bellagio should have one star taken away and Green Valley should recieve it! Bellagio employees are rude as well!
If you think that a standard room at the Bellagio is worth the extra money just because its the Bellagio, its not. If you're interested in great service to go with your standard room, than the Bellagio is the place to stay. I was severely disappointed with the room at the Bellagio. The room is just like almost any other. You get a wetbar that they overcharge for anyway, so if you like the convenience then its okay. The bathroom was actually very nice. Other than that, nothing stood out to make me want to pay the extra amount of money to stay at the Bellagio again.
Bellagio is a true 5 Star Hotel Experience! Treat yourself to the best hotel in Las Vegas. You will feel like a millionaire if you stay at Bellagio even if you aren't one.
Excellent all the way around. The only reason I rated the view at 4 was because we did not face the fountains.
Room Service was incredible, we actually received our orders within 15-20 minutes everytime.
We cannot say enough about how wonderful all the staff were.
It was well worth every penny. Holds it's own against other 5 star hotels in Europe and Asia.
We dined at Le Cirque, The Fixx and Shintaro. My husband and I are still dreaming of the food and it's been a few days since.
Great hotel, best bar none! Steve wynn really has his work cut out if he's gonna top this!
The best, bar none, if you want a resort experience. This hotel is not for the person who just needs to sleep, shower and go. The Bellagio hotel is above all others. It is "top shelf" all the way. I have only experienced the standard room, it is okay, but the overall hotel, staff, food and pool, cannot be beat. Comps are generous and the overall atmosphere is quality all the way. Well worth the extra dollars to stay here. You're worth it!!!
I rated the rooms so low because for the price you pay they aren't worth it. Me and my boyfriend payed nearly $1200 for the five days we were and the only thing special was seeing the fountain shows from our room, which we can see from the ground for free. The bathroom was nice sized the separate tub for soaking was nice. Our service was nice. My boyfriend celebrated his b-day while we were out there so I asked if they did anything. I got a gift certicate for their men's cologne and womens perfume (1 OZ). I could get a small cake sent up for $30 or so. I decided to get some chocolate covered strawberries in a chocolate bowl on a plate that they wrote happy birthday in chocolate. Almost $35 dollars for 5 Strawberries. Also dont touch anything in the wet bar unless u want to pay for it. Everythings is on censors, it's moved, you are charged for it. Pretty much everything is expensive, there is nothing special about it. We stayed at the Luxor and the MGM got jaccuzi's and still payed less.
This is the best overall hotel in town. The view from a lake-view room is stunning. If you're going to splurge on a high-end Vegas hotel, go here.
Fantastic experience at the Bellagio. I recently stayed here with my elderly mother. The staff did everthing possible to make her comfortable.
Room service was excellent. Everyone from the Bell staff, valet staff to the front desk to the maid service was perfect.
We got a newly decorated room, that overlooked the fountains. It was Great.
Beds were more comfortable than any I have ever slept on.
Never used the pool. Casino is large, and quite a hike to the elevators, but other than that.... Great place to get to know Vegas.
This was our first stay at the Bellagio. It's beautiful, but a little lacking with meal selections, so many of the restaurants there are quite expensive. Our room was very nice, but no complimentary coffee in the room.
We found all the staff at the Bellagio (casino + room personnel) to be outstanding, very helpful, very friendly, and accomodating.
Some of the other casino's have more variety in their indoor malls, Bellagio strictly caters to the very rich, and it's because of that, along with the other things I've mentioned that we'd probably stay elsewhere next time.
My wife and I recently satyed at The Bellagio. Although it is a nice hotel, it is not worth the extra money paid. I have stayed at multiple hotels on the Las Vegas strip, and as far as the room, and the bed, The Bellagio is about the same as staying at New York, New York, the Luxor, or Treasure Island. If you feel like you need to stay there once, then, feel free to spend the extra money, but, above that, then you are just wasting your money, and feel like you need to use it as a status symbol.
I heard that the staff really caters to the guest, I found this to be untrue. The staff was no more friendly then those at other hotels we visited while on the trip. That's not to say they weren't nice, because they were, it's just there was nothing above and beyond which is what one might expect for staying at the only 5 star hotel on the strip.
The turndown service was nice, except it wasn't consistent. The first night we were there, they came at 5:30, the next night we were out of the room, the following night, they didn't come at all, and on our last night, they were knocking on the door at 11:15 when we were already asleep.
The food at the Bellagio is good, just expensive like everything else in the hotel, when one pays $15 for two cups of coffee and 2 muffins, it makes it seem a bit overpriced. The buffett is really good, but, a person can visit the buffet without staying at the hotel.
As for gambling, it is more fun to gamble at other hotels because in a way, it seems more quiet and stuffy at The Bellagio then other hotels on the strip.
Overall, I would say, if you feel like you need to stay at the Bellagio just to say you've stayed there, then, have fun, otherwise, stay at another hotel, spend less money and walk through the Bellagio just to see what it's like.
Everything was pretty much as advertised at Bellagio. One thing that surprised me was the level of service. Staff was much more friendly here than at other hotels of this size.
Truly a great hotel in a city of great hotels. The Bellagio is both beautiful and rooms comfortable, the ammentities like the pool area is fantastic (drinks, towels, service). Of course the service and quality are comensurate with the price by vegas standards but the prices are certainly less then your average hotel prices stay at a great hotel in most cities. Or even less than that of a Motel 6 in most California beach cities.
Another great stay at Bellagio. Service hasn't slipped at the once-Wynn joint. On this trip I got a chance to see some of the suites and they are pretty darn nice... Certainly continuing to maintain the level of quality, Bellagio is always a safe bet.
I have almost nothing but good things to say about the Bellagio. Everything at this hotel is top notch, from the rooms to service to food to the show. The only downside is the cost... A vacation here can get very expensive very quickly... If you want to pamper yourself, stay here... But if you're not willing to spend a bundle, probably not the best spot...
Date Visited: 02/03 - Bad Visit
We were in Las Vegas to get married and my work wanted to buy tickets to O. They had to purchase gift certificates (which they were told were refundable if there was a problem booking tickets). The show was sold out for the week we were there. When my boss tried to cancel the tickets she was told she couldnt do that. My husband and I went to pick up the gift certificates and they were lost. We got told by the first concierge that it was his shift change (after he helped us for about 15 mins) and he just pointed to another concierge to finish with us. She asked us if we were guests of the hotel. ( we were not) she left us standing there for 45 mins while she helped the guests of the establishment. She lied to the business office and then finally found our certificates. We took 1.5 hours out of our day just to get gift certificates. When we complained to the players club (which a pit boss told us to do) they said the manager of the consierge desk was the same girl that was rude at the business office.
We were treated rudely and like trailer trash. I will NEVER step foot in that low class snobby place agian. Go to any other hotel on the strip if you want to be treated like a human being.

The reality is that Bellagio is not the "best hotel" in the world. However, it is one of the most impressive places I have been to. The best part is that there are no kids running around; it's a place of luxury and elegance. People are right when they say service isn't the best, but it's because they want to provide the an elegant atmosphere for their guests. It's good that they filter out those rude and snotty people because it makes the stay more enjoyable. Bellagio has it's flaws, but it's overall a great hotel. If you're low on money, it's better to go to a more affordable hotel, but if you have the funds, Bellagio is the place to stay!
This was probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The serevice I thought was outstanding. They make you feel like royalty. amd the rooms are fantastic. However it is exspensive, but definately treat youself to this. I could go on and on!
We just returned from a five night stay in Vegas at the Bellagio - the experience of a lifetime. From the front desk to the restaurant staff to the housekeepers, everyone was unfailingly polite, courteous, and helpful. The level of service exceeded our expectations - and for $300/night, we expected a lot. One of the crowning moments was during a wedding photo shoot with a Bellagio photographer we hired to take pictures of us on the grounds. For the last photos, he wanted to take pictures of us on the balcony overlooking the dancing fountains, with the Eiffel Tower lit up behind us. As we waited for the next water show to start, my husband mentioned that he hoped for a particular song to be next in the lineup. The photographer used his cell phone to call the control booth, asked to have the lineup changed so that "our" song would be next, and had them start the show right away. It was moments like these, when the staff when out of their way to make our stay memorable, that we realized why the Bellagio is called the "Crown Jewel of Vegas".
What happened? This used to be such an incredible place to stay. Somehow they have forgotten what customer service and cleanliness is.
I hate the Bellagio.
An over-priced dump.
Bellagio is simply the best Vegas has to offer. My wife and I have been coming to Vegas for 30yrs and have stayed at most of the strip properties. Bellagio has it all! Absoulty stunning beauity, pools, spa, restrauants and a great casino. But above all the service is by far the best I have seen. They actully make you feel like a invited guess. They go the extra step with a smile. They make me feel the are happies when the can go out of there way to make your stay more plesent.
Saw that the reviews were either really high or really low and thought I'd find out for myself. After staying to four days on a recent trip I am going to have add my vote to the stay away category. For the price this place just is not worth it. The rooms are nice and some staff attempt to provide customer service, but the place just does not run like it should for the price and the standard they promise. Housekeeping was n unpredicable and after being out of the room from 9:00 am until 2:00 am we returned to find that our room had not been serviced. When we called the front desk the clerk argued with me that the room had indeed been cleaned at 11:00 am. Interesting to know who must have come in to our room and showered and slept while we were away. Eventually a very put out manager of some sort came to our room with fresh towels, but that was the most service that was available. When we talked to the Manager on Duty the next day we were told if we didn't like the place that we should stay somewhere else. In the future we definitely will!
What a nightmare.
Check-in took forever and the rate we had a confirmed reservation for was all of the sudden not available. After waiting for the manager for more than 20 minutes the rate was reinstated.
Get to the room and the sheets had not been changed, hair was in the tub, and there was trash in the trash cans. When we called the front desk a very rude clerk said to come back and they would find us another room.
The new room was clean, but no help was ever offered in moving luggage from room to room and no apologies were forthcoming.
Service and standards are not there.
Save your money and stay away!
Beautiful and huge standard rooms with large, bright marble bathrooms. Many, many pools... unfortunately, some of the more inviting ones were unheated. Amenities were very expensive... $20 to use the nicely equipped gym facilities, $10 sandwiches at the pool, and comparably pricey mini-bar & room service. Slow check-in, but otherwise very helpful and gracious service.
Just returned from staying 4 nights at the Bellagio. Just perfect. We stayed in a corner penthouse suite with breathtaking views. The fountain show was nothing short of spectacular. The penthouse rooms have his and hers bathrooms. His has a steam shower and hers a huge jacuzzi tub. 2 tv's in the bathrooms. A television at the foot of the bed that rises up out from a cabinet. Everthing was controlled by the touch of a button. Service was excellent. We at at Circo which was very nice with a wonderful view of the lake. Have stayed 3 times at the Venetian but this is THE hotel to stay in. Just perfect.
Originally had booked two rooms with friends. Upon arrival, talked our way into a two room suite for less than the two rooms would have cost. Rooms were amazing. Wit 5 bathrooms and 2 jacuzzi tubs. Helped make the trip a very memorable one. Service was great. Though doubt I'll see similar rates in the future definitely hope to return.
Crown jewel... MY ASS! Never stay there again! AWFUL EXPERIENCE>
Found "used" condom on window sill in room..... and it didnt belong to us! BEWARE! Staff made no apologies for this unwanted visitor of DNA! Maybe we should have called CSI and found out if it belonged to someone on staff!!!!!!!
The finest hotel in Vegas. Everyone should stay here at least once. I just hope MGM maintains the level of class established by Mr. Wynn.
Bellagio price gouged my wife and me on Sept. 11. We were staying there to
celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary (we got married at Bellagio). When we were
unable to check out on Sept. 11 as planned, they said we'd have to pay nearly twice as
much as the previous nights, or leave. We were paying $159 a night, they increased the
rate to $299 for Sept. 11 --even though they knew we could not leave Las Vegas
because of the national terrorist crisis. We moved to another hotel, (which they did not
offer to help us find).
I'd strongly encourage all readers to boycott the Bellagio through Sept. 11, 2002 to let
them know that their disgusting lack of compassion is not acceptable.
The only bad thing about staying here is having to check out.The facility is breathtaking and exudes luxury and ambiance. The food quality is unparalleled anywhere, period.Service and staff would do anything for you.Venetian and Four Seasons are close but no cigar.I love this place period.
We reserved the Bellagio suite, were upgraded to the penthouse. This surely affected our impressions. The hotel is a world class hotel. It is a bit noisy in the common areas, like the front desk, and conservatory--it almost feels like you're living in a tourist attraction. Once you get out of those areas, the hotel is quiet and private. Service was excellent--they couldn't do enough for you. The clientele is upscale, like the hotel. Dinner at Picasso is one of the finest dining experiences of a lifetime. Pool area is elegant, albeit not very interesting.
My husband and I love ths hotel. We plan to go back next year. The service and staff are wonderful. The restaurants are great.
A very expensive disappointment,
This stay was for Networld+Interop 2001 in May. Had a fountain view room and it was as fantastic as ever. I had concerns that MGM wasn't going to keep the property up but they are doing a fantastic job. The level of service is still impeccable. Bellagio is a great place to stay.
The service at the Bellagio was wonderful and the staff so very pleasant. The pool went along with the Bellagio theme - very stately! I felt like we were in a place made for stars. The conservatory was breathtaking - you could smell the floral scent before even entering the room. I had wished the rooms had a little more space (there were three of us), but it was adequate. The beds were so comfortable. Missed having a way to heat water -but coffee makers were removed due to liability. All the extras were appreciated (robes/iron/sewing kit, etc.)
I love the Bellagio. Nothing in Vegas can compare to it. Everything is first class.
I noticed the mixed reviews of the Bellagio and sometimes expectations aren't met by reality. In our case, we have stayed there our last 5 visits. We probably won't anymore since Steve Wynn left.
But when he was there (which seemed to be every day) there wasn't a finer hotel in virtually every aspect of the hospitality industry.
Does not live up to the hype.
I loved my stay here. It was truly a memorable experience
with all the wonderful things to do.
The staff were very helpful and polite!
Very over-rated. Will never stay here again.
Love the Bellagio and always will. A truly class act. Been going to Las Vegas for over 30 years and have stayed almost everywhere;Bellagio is a cut above the rest, but I think all Steve Wynn's former properties are. We'll see what happens in the next few years.
The most over-rated place on the strip. Stay away!
Very disappointing! Moved here from the Four Seasons and this place does not even come close.
Another great stay at Bellagio. The pool area is less interesting than at the Mirage or Mandalay Bay but it suits the style of the resort.
As always the staff was very friendly and accomodating.
This is a fantastic hotel. I can't see any change in service since MGM bought the company. I'll keep coming back...
The Bellagio is a great hotel. I would stay here again anytime they want to invite me!!! The bathrooms are HUGE!
Overall If ou stay in a standard room they are just the same as any hotel room... not great service but ok. On the other hand if you stay in a Penthouse suite (I did 3 times for 5 days each!!!) They treat you like a King and Queen... And the rooms are amazing ask for a lake view possible corner room :) The Girls bathroom has a hot tub. yes they have a girls bathroom, a boys bathroom and a guest bathroom!!! If you get the one with a lake view and in the corner the Girls bathroom has a veiw of the strip from her hot tub. I give the Penthouse package 10+
This is by far the finest hotel I've ever stayed at. Steve Wynn
and Co. have done a SUPER job. Everything was perfect.
