Mirage Changes Continue

The Mirage recently opened its new baccarat and high limit room, just across the way from the old facility (where the semi-private gaming used to be). The old baccarat area and Baccarat Bar lounge is closed for renovation as well.

That's good to hear. I love Mirage's casino but its high limit salon was a bit dated and claustrophobic compared to others around town. Any new pictures of it, Hunter?

This doesn't have anything to do with The Mirage, but it has to do with change at its sister property, Bellagio. They're making some changes throughout the property to update it. But why did they remove the fairly new chocolate fountain at J.P. Patisserie?

I have heard on the chatrooms that the Mirage and Bellagio have declined from the Wynn ownership days. I know many on the web can tend to be negative in their comments and I am wondering if there has been a noticeable decline since Steve Wynn left. I have not been to either property since the change. What do you think?

The fountain is gone from Bellagio? I didn't know that. I'll follow up with my people at MGM MIRAGE and find out what is up.

As far as changes at Mirage properties since Wynn left... TI has changed the most, The Mirage the least and Bellagio somewhere in the middle.

I think TI's changes are mostly for the worse and I am a bit scared about planned changes for The Mirage.

I used to do business with the company that made the keys for the Mirage. These guys were bigtime gamblers and friends of Steve Wynn. They used to go out every year for the Superbowl. I got invited one year for free room & board but could not due to conflict of interest. Anyway good update on Bellagio changes. My biggest concern with these mega companies is that they lack the attention to detail that Wynn is so famous for. It will be the small things that slip first(like cheapo design for buffet entrance). I hope that there is someone at the top who cares like Steve. Is there another guy in gaming like him or will all of these mega companies eventually corporatize everything.
