I stayed at the Beau for a night the year it opened (1999. Many who visit describe the place as a mini-Bellagio and that's not far off the mark. Place was nicely decorated and the rooms were well-appointed. My only complaint was that they advertised that you could access the beach quite easily from the hotel, but that isn't the case....you have to walk a little down the street and then you're on an unattractive patch of sand underneath an overpass.

Its a shame that this beautiful property turned out to be the one that led to Wynn's fall in 2000, but it was too much for the Biloxi market. If Steve had built this place in Atlantic City, it would've made a killing.

Hope nobody was too attatched to the Beau Rivage. The word on the news currently is that Hurricane Katrina will destroy the casino and damage the hotel tower, ditto the other casinos in the Biloxi area.

I am very attached to the Beau Rivage and it's almost the only thing left standing in Biloxi. I bet you they will replace the carpets and be back open within a month. People of Biloxi, take heart and God speed.

Looks like the Beau may be the only casino to survive Katrina because of it's superior build.

Yes I too want to see pictures and also to know did all of the employees of Beau Rivage get out in time. We left Sunday morning at 1:00 I'm praying for each of you.

I'm an employee of the beau. It suffered damage, but nowhere nere the damage the other casinos faced. Has any one heard or seen a statement on what they are doing for the employees! Harrahs is paying theirs!

My husband & I had reservations to be there on Sunday night. I called Sunday morning before we were to leave and found out you had in fact closed. We come from Atlanta usually twice a month. We have made friends with quite a few employees there. Do you know a BJ dealer named Lucy? She has long, curly blonde hair? Wanted to know if she was alright. Also a man named Scott, he was a pit boss up front usually on the morning shift. Thanks for any info you may have. Our prayers are with you & your families.

I have a car on the third floor of the parking deck. I have gone to the property and saw that the first 2 floors are gone. I have no idea what is going on, on the third floor. How can I find out if my car made it. It is a new 350Z with out physical damage. It is all I will have left if it made it. I know there are so many more important things foing on. Just really like to know if it went under water.

We went to the Beau Rivage often and it was by far the best casino in Biloxi and the employees were the greatest. We still haven't found out where Jay Jordan and Lynda Favret are -- they are our slot hosts and we love them dearly. We would also like to know if Chris from the Mephis Q is o.k., as well as fellow player and Biloxi reisdent, Dennis Parker. Please help us if you know of their whereabouts. Thank you. I am from the new orleans area which was greatly affected as everyone knows but we looked at beau rivage as a escape for the weekend. As a frequent traveler to vegas, the beau was the only hotel on the coast that made you feel like you were in vegas without being there. We want the people at the head of the ladder of rebuilding to know that we here in New Orleans, also suffering cannot wait for our weekend escape to come back. We are waiting patiently which is all everyone around here can do right now. WE MISS YOU BEAU RIVAGE
