Worst Las Vegas Podcast #12 - Finally, Another Podcast

Posted by Hunter

I'm finally back with another podcast. Sorry - it's been busy. This one's only about 40 minutes long so you should have plenty of time to listen.

In this episode I talk about the the Trippies, Wynn labor dispute, City Center progress, Wynn's golf course, and more. Hopefully the next podcast won't be another month away!

The link to the Las Vegas Photo Quiz is here: http://quiz.ratevegas.com - Enjoy!

Update: Our good friends at VegasTripping.com have posted a little shout out to our shout out to their awards in which they gave us a shout out. Awesome.

A reminder - feel free to call in and leave us a message about anything Las Vegas or Web site related. The call in number is: 702-508-4232.

Another great Worst Las Vegas Podcast. Please keep them coming. I am heading to Vegas in March. We (2 guys - wives stay home) will be staying at The Bellagio for four nights. Picking four places to eat dinner is almost impossible. I have read so many reviews on your website. How the Hell do you pick? Any personal suggestions/favorites? Help!

Thanks!

While I personally think that MJ has turned into one of the world's scariest people, 'Thriller' has got to go down as one of the best records of all time... The theme song was inspired by my friend Kevin so I'll have to blame him.

As far as picking a restaurant, there are tons of choices. FIX at Bellagio is good for some semi-casual fare. Delmonico at The Venetian is still my pick for steakhouses in town - love it. For Chinese on the Strip, I prefer Wing Lei over Jasmine, but both are tops. Tons of great places... The trick is to keep coming back and trying new things!

I appreciate the food suggestions. I always look forward to trying new places in Vegas to eat and gamble. I'll post my reviews on ratevegas.com after the trip.

Tha Tha Tha Thanks!

MarkG, restaurants have all become too expensive in Las Vegas. I don't know whether a couple of guys want to eat in fancy, expensive places or not. Even casual restaurants are no longer inexpensive. Since you're staying at Bellagio, I'd recommend you try Sensi, at the entrance to the Spa Tower, for lunch or dinner. It has great selections ranging from Asian to Indian to whatever else, prepared in glassed-in kitchens. Next door at Caesars, I tried Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill for lunch. It was very good.
Red 8 at Wynn is good Chinese and much cheaper than Wing Lei. Fin at The Mirage is another good Chinese restaurant, also open for lunch.
One of my favorites is AquaKnox at Venetian (see, I do like some things at Venetian.) AquaKnox has excellent seafood; dinner only.
Japanese: Shibuya at MGM Grand and Japonais at The Mirage.
I've never been a big fan of Prime at Bellagio. The room is great, but my meals haven't been out of the ordinary. Rather, try SW at Wynn for a superb steakhouse. Once the new chef took over, it became outstanding. The chef was previously at Country Club Grill at Wynn. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's great to look out at the 18th hole of the golf course with its waterfall. You can eat outside, too.
Then, there's my all time favorite, In-N-Out Burger on Tropicana. LOL

Thanks detroit1051. I agree that eating has gotten out of hand in Vegas. Dinner table or craps table, that both consume money too quickly.

I ate at Mesa Grill and Shibuya last trip. Both were great. I am curious about Seablue. The menu and place look interesting. Delmonico is a guarantee on this trip. Emeril's Fish House at MGM was excellent when I ate there.

Too many choices are always better than too little choices.

Does anybody know if an actual date for the Stardust implosion has been released? All I read is "mid March". I would love to be there to see it come down.
