Worst Las Vegas Podcast #17 - September 15th, 2007

Well being stuck in Traffic on the way back, I finally got home just in time for the podcast to end...

I'm gonna repost with some fixes.
If you're referring to the echo's and stuff, I heard that in my phone, too. I think next time I'll try calling with my cellphone, as this time I used a Vonage VOIP phone with a headset. Then again, I only heard issues with Hunter and an echo of my own voice. Detroit and Brian came in fine. *shrug*
Yeah, that, which I heard also at the time but thought it was my phone, plus the empty spot in the beginning...
New version posted now with some minor processing.
I was originally calling in using Skype and Mike E said I sounded weird so I did the show from my house phone, which apparently had some issues. FWIW, I had none of those problems last time with either Skype or the land line.
Hell, maybe I'll do the iPhone next time.
I heard some echoes, too. I used my home land line phone. Hunter started to bring up Dubai World's investment in MGM, but we didn't get to it. It can be a topic for next time. Speaking of Dubai, I posted a link to MGM's Barclay's presentation on the Open Topic thread.

"Nevada regulators don't allow slot machines that accept gamblers' debit cards, for fear they could quickly drain their bank accounts .
But they are considering allowing the next-closest convenience - or danger: allowing gamblers to put their debit cards into nearby kiosks for cash-equivalent-vouchers that can then be inserted into slots.
Such devices would free gamblers from having to handle cash, proponents say.
But others worry that such an easy way to get money to feed slots might enable compulsive gamblers. And there is a school of thought that the more gamblers are removed from handling cash, the more prone they are to gamble because they don't experience the loss of actual money."
