Posted by Hunter

Reader @mac78130 caught these, potential renderings of the Encore Beach Club project in Las Vegas.

We don't know if these are real or not but they do match the project as proposed, with a walk-way across the existing parking garage entrance. If they are indeed real, I assume the Wynn overlords will have these taken down soon so see 'em while you can.

Looks better than what they had before.

I'll never understand the amount of corporate secrecy, real or attempted and failed, in this industry. Owners used to sit and exchange hard data on their numbers with one another over who had the biggest hold, nowadays they act like a picture of a small patio garden is a trade secret.

Looking ab-fab to me. I can't wait to book a suite and try it out! :-p

Damn, if we just had one of the inside now. Amazing find. I saved them off for me. :)

I like it, sort of like whats going on with Palazzo little thrills just entrances...I wonder if those balconies you see clearly in photo two are decorative or if cabanas at the new beach club will over look the strip..which would be a nice little touch.

January 13, 2010 5:19 PM Posted by Andy in MSP

Not to sound greedy but I wish there were an arial view to see what this thing is all about. It is good to see a pedestrian entrance though!

January 13, 2010 5:56 PM Posted by charlie

5 star cabanas, with people having a good time hanging out on their balconies overlooking the strip.. there is your encore 'hook'... quite a bit more exciting than a mountain. this entrance transforms the energy of the place. they should be promoting this ASAP - get this out in the press and the website.

after a couple of months of cold, summer never looked so good.

My guess is the balconies are decorative. Can you really see Wynn building a pool this expensive with views out to the mess that is the strip next to Encore? I think it would be kind of neat but it's really not his style.

I'd assume these renderings are legit considering how accurate the "before" shot is. Unless, of course, that's a real photo (and at which point I'll feel stupid for even opening my mouth).

I believe the 'before' is a photo but I do think these are real in the sense that they were created for Wynn D&D. They may or may not be the final project rendering.

Looks nice.

One of the LED billboards on the way to Henderson has an advertisement up for Surrender. More or less just 'Surrender, The Nightclub at Encore - Coming Soon', but they are getting the name out there.

That looks much better than before. It actually looks amazing. I love the staircase going up too. It's good to know that there is a casino entrance in there. This also means that a staircase has to go down into the casino area, which is fine by me. It's a lot better than I pictured already.

Certainly the attraction to this concept is whats inside and not the exterior. However, if this is real, I'm just feeling take it or leave it. Not bad, but not blow me away great. If a passerby sees the exterior of that, does it tease you enough to want to go inside to see it?......granted I'm talking about the average Joe, not the fanatics like us.

January 14, 2010 10:09 AM Posted by Andy in MSP

Actually I'm pretty sure that there will be no stairs walking down into the casino. You will walk straight into the casino from this entrance. Remember you had to drive up a hill to get to the porte cochere.

Is this the longest some sort of renderings like this has been allowed to last in public view for this long? Its a day and its still there....they are getting lazy

January 14, 2010 10:34 AM Posted by Hunter

Either they're not real or they're having a hard time contacting the site owner or they don't care.

I doubt they don't care and I personally think they look real.

Well, it's a social networking site of Autodesk users. It's possibly the administration on the other side of the line isn't really bothering to listen. It's not like the person who uploaded them made his details discreet either. His profile is viewable to the public.

In the event that they do take them down, I will upload them somewhere where they will never be able to take them down.

By the by, am I the only one who finds a staircase outdoors, leading to a casino entrance, to be a sort of a hindrance?

It's what Aladdin had going on from the sidewalk level, and a result people saw the place as an impenetrable fortress.

January 14, 2010 11:09 AM Posted by Hunter

Probably not ideal... but there are escalators in the rendering.

I bet that most of the casino foot traffic still comes from WLV but not having an entrance here would be strange.

"It's what Aladdin had going on from the sidewalk level, and a result people saw the place as an impenetrable fortress."

Mike, thank you. That was my first thought, but I was too lazy to comment. I looked at the rendering to see if one of the staircases was actually an escalator. We don't need another Aladdin-type entrance.

January 14, 2010 12:00 PM Posted by Phil

Add me to the list about this stair issue. I'm no feng shui expert, but I thought stairs were ok for entrance ways as long as the surroundings are uncluttered. I'm not sure if the alleged drawings are considered uncluttered enough.

There definitely seems to be a vibe out there that Planet Hollywood's stairs are a disaster. I'd love to see a study done on percentage of foot traffic PH gets from passerby's versus a similar casino with no stairs. Maybe its psychological, maybe we're just lazy about walking up stairs, I don't know, but I don't see many people walking up the Monte Carlo stairs in front either. As I was typing, I thought about one of my local malls, there is one entrance where you have to walk up 8 to 10 stairs to get in and that entrance is consistently less crowded compared to other entrances and it gets a lot of passing traffic.

January 14, 2010 1:30 PM Posted by Andy

I hope this just a work in progress. It looks like the entrance to mid-/upscale mall. It's very beige, and not in the attractive interior of the Wynn sense.

January 14, 2010 1:32 PM Posted by Hunter

See, to me this looks *very* Wynn-esque. Similar to pool area at design and landscaping at Encore, which would make sense.

January 14, 2010 2:32 PM Posted by Phil

I agree that its the Wynn-look building wise, but visually from the exterior they could tell me its a convention expansion and I would believe it. It just doesn't say to me, LOOK this is our new beach club and come inside to explore Encore. If the sign wasn't there saying "beach club", the average guy wouldn't know. I wasn't expecting a Wynn stylistic oval glass window where people on the side walk and street would see the fun inside, but well, maybe I was. I guess I wanted to see something more than what I see.

Its hard to tell, but I'd like to see some buffer between the wall of the building and the sidewalk. It looks like there is no landscaping/trees on the building side of the sidewalk, you're just asking for grafitti and stickers from the jokers out there.

I'm not impressed with the pools at Encore and I'm not lmpressed with this either. It's all earthtones, throw in a little color.

Just found this looking into the cryptic Twitter post from about an hour ago. So a new bar overlooking the WLV pool area basically? Or do they close the shopping area across the hall? Or Or Or...take some space away from Terrace Point? I find it an interesting concept. Not that I am a wine guy but I certainly enjoy the artisanal beer every now and then.

http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/prnewswire/LA38340.htm

January 15, 2010 12:28 PM Posted by Hunter

There's more space across the hall but perhaps they re-tasked some of the other nearby space.

Clearly a view would be preferable.

January 15, 2010 1:05 PM Posted by Mike E

I'm guessing they're either axing Mojitos or Decorazzi for this place.

January 15, 2010 2:28 PM Posted by JK

I'm imagining the bar going in front of the glass wall across from the buffet. I can see it kind of being built on to the window somehow so you can sit and enjoy an overview of the pool without blocking the natural light coming through.

January 16, 2010 8:30 AM Posted by John

Weird that they're pairing with N9NE since it seems that Wynnsie usually creates everything in-house. Perhaps they're going for the younger crowd that N9NE's other creations target.

January 16, 2010 9:02 AM Posted by Hunter

I thought the N9NE connection was the most interesting part of the story, no doubt. Wynn partners with others on nightlife but still, that bit caught my eye.

January 21, 2010 9:46 PM Posted by steve_c

as expected, the renderings have been removed.

January 22, 2010 10:55 AM Posted by socalduck

I will make sure to delete them from my hard drive, as well ;)

January 22, 2010 11:16 AM Posted by mike_ch

Yeah, they're up at The Pirate Bay's image host, which I think is too tough a nut to crack for the people they send after this stuff, but I assume that everyone here saw what they wanted to see already.

January 28, 2010 8:15 PM Posted by motoman

I noticed those jpg's were numbered--were there additional images besides those three at revitcity?

February 6, 2010 5:34 PM Posted by Don

Hi,
I never got to see the images and I can't find them on Pirate's bay. Any links o URLs?
