Having listened to the episode for the fourth time, I have gleaned the following secret message from Mr. McCartney: Alex Yemendjian has taken on the Tropicana project in order to show that he is still a top notch casino man. In the middle of 2011 Kirk Kerkorian will decide he has had enough of riding with Jim Murren and he will bring Alex Y in to head MGM and McCartney will come along with him. The payoff for Orex is an equity position in MGM after the Trop is absorbed, which will increase in value quickly after investor confidence in the new leadership spurs a rapid increase in stock value.
Wow, interesting idea. Love that.
