It's about time Colony Capital got serious about The Hilton. It was tired looking when I was there last month.
A Lanai Suite at The Hilton was the first upgraded room I was offered in Las Vegas. In the era before all the new properties, I was impressed even though it is a large room, not a suite with separate bedroom.
The Lanai Suites all have doorwalls opening to individual patios on the pool deck level. The rooms could have served as the model for Venetian's step-down rooms. The floorplans are identical except for the smaller bath, typical of older hotels.

Hey Hunter, I was wondering if you or anyone else has visited Tao yet. How do you feel about them copying off the original Tao in NYC? Does anyone have any pictures of the interier? I hope to return to Vegas next spring and I'm not sure if I should go to Tao one night. Don't hate me but I'm one of the few that likes the Venetian! (Although I do want to stay in Wynn next time.) Hope to hear from you soon.
A little off-topic but ok... From what I know, Tao Vegas has some of the same owners as the NYC install. In that case I would consider it natural to borrow heavily from the original, proven design.
That said, I haven't been inside. I've heard they spent a shitload of money on the place. The Venetian haven't released press photos of the club's interior. If you're looking for a nightclub experience, from what I have heard, this should be a good time... And new clubs are always pretty popular and full.

Ah, La Bete... I have been wondering whether perhaps walking inbetween the spread legs of a beast (LaBete's entrance) might have the same oriental taboo as walking into the mouth of a lion (original MGM Grand strip entrance)?
