Looks like another crazy idea for a small slice of land has popped up, this one on the site of the Westward Ho.
We really need some kind of probability scoring system for these projects. This one would be rated 'Low to Very Low'.

Oh Hunter, I couldn't agree more!!! If I had a dollar for major project I've seen in Vegas that has come and gone, and never happened, I could probably afford to build my own. I really want these things to happen, I would love to see the north end of the strip be filled with new and great properties, just like the south part is, and I do think that will happen, but not over night.
Echelon Place will happen. I think Montreaux will happen, they have gone to far and made too many serious comments to turn back now, but until the frontier is gone, anythning is possible. Fountainbeau, I don't see happening. I don't see this Maxim thing happening. I still don't know what to think about Sahara, or The Riveria both have talked about remodels, or total rebuilds on and off. I'll believe it when I see it. No question though, all the new traffic up there will help, and make people invest. Also as your neighboor upgrades, so will you, or else you wont be in business much longer.
Yeah Brian, I totally agree. I don't think the Riv or Sahara will be rebuilt until they change hands at least once. The current owners of both seem content to hang tight until they sell.
No question that in ten years that section of the Strip will look different... The only questions are: WHO? and WHAT?
We'll see.
