We're back with another episode! It can be downloaded here.

This time around we discuss:

* Macau Update with George (report after the jump)
* Bill Weidner Leaves Las Vegas Sands
* Economic Update: Cannery+Crown, M Resort

Feel free to leave your comments below.

Here's George's report:

This months report is a bit ominous. There does not seem to be any progress at the Galaxy Megaresort and the "Three Dominos". The former has no progress on the second tower compared to last month. The later also had no progress, even with the glass work being done on the middle one (St. Regis?). Both had no workers really on site, which I attributed to Sunday. Then again, the Wynn Diamond Suite tower still had construction, albeit slow, and notable progress on the glass. Also the l'Arc had workers there, but little external change. Meanwhile the Mandrin/One site seemed to have made some progress over the month.

The rest of Cotai was interesting. I was planning to get closer photos of the MGM cotai site, but was thwarted by a large publics works project (sewage I guess). I think this could have been the reason for the literally adjacent work on the Wynn Cotai site last month, just "hooking-up" to the system. I may have been able to snake through, but after the yelling I got from the City of Dreams guard, I decided discretion was the better part of valor.

On the retreat though I found an interesting plan for the "three dominos" site which includes a "tropical garden" and not a street. While seemingly mundane, it may make the traffic flow to the Wynn site difficult. This leaves two or three circuitous path to the Wynn Cotai. One is around the University of Macau and affronting the Airport. Two is all the way to the middle of the Cotai strip where the new border gate is. The iffy third one is splitting the City of Dreams site and through the MGM site (assuming it leads there in the end, don't know at the moment).

The rainy weather lead to some pretty interesting views. Please see a view of the Cotai strip, and the l'Arc soaring into the clouds.

In the "Turd Polishing" file, hilariously titled by Chuck Monster at VT, find photos the Lisboa and Waldo. The Lisboa has a new grand entrance kitty-corner to the StarWorld Galaxy. The Waldo (across from the current Mandrin Oriental and Sands) has a new facade, website, and remodeled rooms. I avoided the urge to go in. It's an old school place, which usually frown on cameras.

Finally find the photo of the first porn-slapper in Macau. Also find the porn slapped in my hand.

A tereffic show, as usual. Thank you all.
How about a show that's all good news? I don't care if it's the M, renovated Gold Spike, or the Lucky Whatever in North Las Vegas, how about interviewing people associated with properties that are cautiously optimistic in these times?
